Grounds for election
Christina Unwin is an archaeological illustrator and designer of many years standing. Her work includes reconstruction drawings for archaeological books and reports (eg Lairg) and designing exhibition panels for museums such as Bede’s World, Dumfries & Galloway Museums, East Lothian Museums, Escomb Church, London Docklands, Museum of the Iron Age, Segedunum Roman Fort and Tullie House). She also designs and typesets books, journals & publicity material for archaeological organisations, societies and individuals (eg Brixworth Trust, Historic Scotland, Forestry Commission, Society of Medieval Archaeology, Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, Oxbow Books, Tayside & Fife Archaeological Committee). She is the author of two well-received books: Boudica: Iron Age warrior queen, Continuum, 2005 (with Richard Hingley FSA) and The Chronology of Pattern: pattern in art from lotus flower to flower power, A & C Black, 2011 (with Diana Newall).
