Sponsor a candidate for the Fellowship
By completing and submitting this form you confirm that your candidate wishes to be considered for election and is aware of the financial and other obligations of Fellowship. In accordance with our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation we will contact your candidate to obtain his or her consent to process the personal information included on this form. If your candidate does not consent, you will be notified and the Blue Paper and all personal information it contains will be removed from our systems.
Please note the character limits on the form. You may wish to compose your 'Grounds for Election' in a Word document first to ensure you meet the 1000 character limit including spaces.
The content of Blue Papers is the sponsor’s responsibility. This form will be made available for viewing by Fellows and subsequently become part of the Society’s archives. It is important therefore that it is accurate and free from typographical and other errors.
If you wish to nominate someone for Hon. Fellowship, please don't use this online form. Instead make your nomination in writing – either as a letter or by email – with the names of at least four other Fellows who support your nomination and send it to the General Secretary, Ms Natasha McEnroe (nmcenroe@sal.org.uk). Nominations for Hon. Fellows (who must be 'of outstanding reputation or learning in the area of interests of the Society') have to go to Council for approval at the March meeting before they go to the Fellowship for election with voting closing at the Anniversary Meeting. No more than three Hon. Fellows may be elected in any one year (Statute 2.8.2), and no more than one hundred Hon. Fellows are allowed at any one time (Statute 2.8.2).
