Grounds for election

Prof Robin has a distinguished 30-year record in Maya archaeology and is also a noted authority on archaeological approaches to gender, sustainability, and everyday life. She is the author of three books: Chan: An Ancient Maya Farming Community (2012, University of Florida Press), Everyday Life Matters (2013, University of Florida Press), and Preclassic Maya Burials at Cuello, Belize (1989, BAR International Series 480). She has also published more than 40 papers. Professor Robin has taught st Northwestern University since 1999 and appointed Professor of Anthropology in 2013. Her multidisciplinary project at the Chan site in Belize (2002-2009) attracted numerous research awards and involved leadership of an international team of more than 80 archaeologists. Chan was selected as one of 25 archaeological projects worldwide for a special feature in the Global Encyclopaedia of Archaeology (Springer, 2014).
