Eleanor Rowley-Conwy has worked at the National Trust, Tyne and Wear Museums and the Royal Armouries where she was responsible for conserving Henry VIII's Tonlet armour from the Field of the Cloth of Gold and ran courses for the Army Museums Ogilby Trust. In her current role she is responsible for safeguarding the heritage collections at the Palace of Westminster during the Restoration and Renewal programme and is managing teams of specialist contractors on site to ensure this. She also performs valuable work on a voluntary basis as Finds Manager and Conservation Consultant for the Ardnarmurchan Transitions Project (2006-present). She has been a Committee member of the Institute of Conservation and Archaeology Group since 2013 and has acted as Events Coordinator and Treasurer. Her publications include Ellison, J., Rowley-Conwy, E. and Sims, A. (2020) ‘Saving the Seat of Democracy: The Restoration of the Palace of Westminster’ in Studies in Conservation. Vol 61, No 6.
