Jon Burgess has had a long and distinguished career in the police service and has risen through the ranks to attain his current role as Detective Superintendent for the West of Essex and Staff Officer to the National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC) Lead for Heritage and Cultural Property Crime. Jon has skilfully blended his passion for history, archaeology and policing to drive the development and delivery of the national programme to prevent and investigate crime and anti-social behaviour within the historic environment.
