Research specialisms in post-medieval landscapes and modern conflict archaeology, in particular the link between material culture and well-being in the armed forces. Various publications on these topics, including a book, 'The global infrastructure of the Special Operations Executive', 2022. Several field projects conducted and research grants obtained. Current monographs editor, Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology.
