Grounds for election

Peter Joseph is a former geochemist and geophysicist who now works on the history of Cornwall’s industrial past, with particular interests in mining history (especially in the St Just area), the manufacture of explosives, china clay and other extractive industries, and nineteenth-century maritime history. Since 1996 he has published ten books on these subjects (five of them as joint author, with five different co-authors), plus over 30 articles and further archaeological surveys and reports for Cornwall County Council. Since 2006 he has been editor or co-editor of the publications of the Trevithick Society, including its yearly Journal.
