Grounds for election

The candidate has been Curator of Ancient Art, The Al Thani Collection since 2019 and prior to that, since 2002 was Curator of Greek and Roman Art, Michael C. Carlos Museum, Emory University, Atlanta and Adjunct Professor, Art History Department, Emory University. He is an acknowledged expert on Greek art, particularly Greek vases and, among numerous books and articles, authored Corpus Vasorum Antiquorum: Great Britain 21: Harrow School (Oxford University Press, 2005). He has lectured widely in Europe and USA, primarily on aspects of Greek vase painting. He has curated exhibitions worldwide and excavated at Samothrace.
