Grounds for election

Mark McKerracher has published widely on the subject of early medieval agriculture, notably, in 2018, his book: Farming Transformed in Anglo-Saxon England. He has played a leading role as a post-doctoral researcher in the 'Feeding Anglo-Saxon England' project both as an archaeologist and archaeobotanist and has acted as a consultant on a range of academic research projects. He has served as Treasurer of the Association for Environmental Archaeology, Editor of the journal Medieval Settlement Research, and Trustee of the Medieval Settlement Research Group. He has been an invited speaker at international conferences in Germany, Spain and Belgium and is an Accredited Practitioner of CIfA.
