Grounds for election

Dr Gaffney is a leading archaeologist working on the island of New Guinea and its offshore islands. He is an author of over 20 journal articles, a dozen book chapters, a book on pottery from Madang, New Guinea, and three more books under contract. He will shortly takes up his tenured position as Lecturer in Palaeolithic Archaeology at the University of Oxford.
