Grounds for election

Leanne O’Boyle is the Executive Director of the Sussex Archaeological Society, running one of the UK’s oldest heritage organisations, dedicated to researching, preserving and sharing the history of Sussex. Leanne manages the registered charity, its 12 listed buildings on 5 scheduled ancient monuments, including Fishbourne Roman Palace and the Long Man of Wilmington, with 6 accredited museums housing nationally significant heritage collections spanning pre-history to the modern era. In previous roles, she has been responsible for opening Billingsgate Roman House & Baths to the public (as Head of Cultural & Visitor Strategy at the City of London) and, whilst working for Cultural Co-operation, working to make Britain’s cultural heritage more accessible and meaningful to its increasingly cosmopolitan population by offering high quality, accredited, skills training to those sections of society currently under-represented in the sector (HLF-funded Strengthening Our Common Life project).
