Recently appointed to a tenured position at the Australian National University, Anna Florin is a much-awarded young scholar and emerging global leader in archaeobotany. She currently works on several field and laboratory projects in different parts of the world and has undertaken fieldwork across Australia and in Sri Lanka, South Africa, Turkey and most recently Indonesia. Anna has published in front-rank journals including Nature, Quaternary International and the journals of Archaeological Science and Human Evolution, with a ground-breaking co-authored piece under review for Antiquity. She has also delivered invited international addresses as well as numerous conference papers, has completed a number of heritage consultancies, magazine articles and blogs and has presented regularly on radio and television. Anna performs strongly in service as well, organising conferences and seminars and sitting on various professional and university committees.
