Grounds for election

A heritage consultant with over 20 years experience. Has advised on the heritage implications of major strategic and infrastructure projects, including highway and railway developments. He also has extensive fieldwork experience throughout England. Projects over the last five years have included very large scale historic landscape analyses and assessment of impacts derived from the potential changes in the settings of heritage assets. Has a particular interest in military history including battlefield research, and has contributed to conservation management plans for a Palmerston fort, a World War II and Cold War airbase, a World War I and II airfield. Has recently been the principal researcher and technical author for the delivery of a characterisation of the seascapes off the coast of Kent and in the Thames estuary, a GIS-based thematic project to support strategic maritime/coastal planning and infrastructure development.
