Grounds for election

Carole has been involved in the heritage for over 25 years both at English Heritage and since 2003 at the Heritage Lottery Fund. She is also a Board member of Kent Wildlife Trust and Creativity, Culture and Education. As CEO of HLF Carole has been instrumental in steering lottery funding for the benefit of the historic and natural environments for the past 11 years. This includes over £20 million per annum for the repair of churches, £30 million per year for Parks as well as over 3,000 projects per annum for the the widest range of heritage-related projects. Her knowledge and experience of the history, archaeology and natural history of the islands is immensely broad, as is her knowledge of the way in which governments, at all levels, operate.
