Grounds for election

Johanna’s career includes research posts at the Cathedral and Church Buildings Division of the Church of England, the Architectural Investigation team at English Heritage, the RIBA British Architectural Library and the Architectural History Practice. She now works as Architectural Investigator at Historic England. She has contributed to several major research projects, particularly the Taking Stock projects on Roman Catholic Churches and Quaker Meeting Houses. Her co-authored book on the history and development of Weston-super-Mare was published in 2019. Her research on Quaker buildings has been published in Studies in Victorian Architecture & Design and Twentieth Century Architecture. Other articles by Johanna on a range of architectural and historical topics, from Georgian artificial stone to inter-war town halls, have appeared in Archaeologia Cantiana, Somerset Archaeology and Natural History, The Sculpture Journal, The Georgian Group Journal and Twentieth Century Architecture.
