Grounds for election

Jeremy Simons had a distinguished career with British Telecom 1976-2002, since when he has pursued other cultural and public service interests. As an elected Member of the Corporation of London (2004-22) he had leading roles in the Committees overseeing Hampstead Heath, Port Health and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and he has been a City nominee/Trustee of the City of London Archaeological Trust (now a co-opted member). He is active in several archaeological societies and has published tracts and articles relating to Hampstead Heath and medieval London. He is a Governor of Dr Johnson’s House Trust and involved with the restoration of the Highgate Wood Roman Kiln. He has attended Antiquaries events and is keen to cement an association with the Society by joining the Fellowship; he would be an active member, keen to participate in the fellowship in every sense, and someone whose professional background would strengthen the range of experience across the Society.
