Grounds for election

Following Oxford and her British Academy Post Doctoral Fellowship in the Spanish and Spanish American Department of King's College, London, Dr Kennedy joined the V&A as a Research Fellow and Curator (Renaissance) on its Medieval and Renaissance Galleries project. She was subsequently appointed Curator with particular responsibility for Renaissance and Baroque Silver. She has made numerous contributions to publications specialising in medieval Spanish literature and history and is the author of "Alfonso X of Castile Leon: Royal Patronage, Self-Promotion and Manuscripts in Thirteenth-century Spain", Amsterdam University Press, 2019). Concurrently, she has contributed notable chapters in the fields of silver, art and design to several V&A books, including (with co-author Glyn Davies) "Medieval and Renaissance: People and Possessions" (2009). In addition, she is editor of "Jewellery History Today", the magazine of the Society of Jewellery Historians.
