Michael Suarez's many achievements include: Executive Director of Rare Book School at the University of Virginia (2009– ) University Professor, Professor of English, University of Virginia (2009– ) Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Principal for $5.4MM in grants to support bibliography and book history. Inaugural guest professor, University of Chicago Visiting Scholar Programme in Paleography and the History of the Book, 2022. Rosenbach Fellow in Bibliography, University of Pennsylvania; Rosenbach Lectures delivered 2021. Distinguished Presidential Fellow, Council on Library and Information Resources, 2015–16. Lyell Readership in Bibliography, Oxford University, 2014–15; Lyell Lectures delivered 2015.
