Medieval archaeologist with specialism in study of medieval and later artefacts, especially ceramics, with a research interest in the social context for the use of pottery. Specialist in Anglo-Spanish and Portuguese ceramics, speaker at national and international conferences across Europe. Has published widely in UK and Europe both synoptically and on ceramics and other finds from medieval and other sites in UK and Europe (eg. Gerrard, C M and Gutiérrez, A (editor and contributor). The Oxford Handbook of later medieval archaeology in Britain, Oxford University Press, London 2018). Experienced in undergraduate and postgraduate and doctoral study supervision. Expert in practical archaeology on site and post-excavation. Widely published illustrator and cartographer (eg her reconstruction of the Clarendon Palace 13c circular pavement in Room 40 British Museum). Monographs editor for Society of Medieval Archaeology with numerous publications on archaeology in southern England and elsewhere
