Grounds for election

Dr Harding is a retired minister and an independent scholar. He is a linguist with extensive knowledge that includes Hebrew, Classical languages and modern European languages, including Welsh. He also researches the role of religion in the long eighteenth century. Among his publications are The Theology of Griffith Jones and Religious Thought in Eighteenth Century Wales (University of Wales Press, 2023). He has also published in Welsh language journals. He has lectured widely at conferences in the UK notably in Oxford and in Wales. In 2023 he gave the first lecture in the Welsh Ecclesiastical History seminar series in Lampeter. He is currently engaged in a study of the eighteenth century liturgies in minority languages in Britain.
