Grounds for election

Mr Ball is the Collections, Galleries and Interpretation Manager for Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust. He was previously Archaeological Data Manager for HMS Victory at the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth, where he curated the Victory: The Nations Flagship gallery in 2021. Between 2014 and 2018 he was Assistant Curator at the National Maritime Museum, working with the ship models, and plans and photos collections. He has written on the history of ship models, including co-authoring Navy Board Ship Models (2018) with Simon Stephens. He holds a BA degree in History from the University of Plymouth, and a MA in Maritime Archaeology from the University of Southern Denmark. He is a member of the governing council of the Society For Nautical Research.
