Grounds for election
Andrew Rabin’s academic interests include Old English and early medieval legal studies. He is a leading expert on pre-Conquest English law and particularly on the life and writings of Archbishop Wulfstan II of York (d. 1023). His academic projects include the Early English Laws Project and Archbishop Wulfstan II conference at Worcester Cathedral March 2023. His publications include: Wulfstan: Old English Legal Writings (2020), Crime and Punishment in Anglo-Saxon England (2020), The Political Writings of Archbishop Wulfstan of York (2015) and includes articles in the English Historical Review (2023), History Today (2023), Early Medieval Europe (2023). He is co-editor for the Boydell Brewer series, Anglo-Saxon Studies and Director, The Wallace Johnson First Book Mentorship Program in Early medieval law and has been a Member of the Advisory Board, The International Society for the Study of Early Medieval England.
