Kate is a director of TVAS(Ireland) and is a project manager and field archaeologist. She graduated from Girton, Cambridge, and joined TVAS (1996). She was soon directing and publishing the results of small excavations as well as working on larger sites for publication. In 2003 she co-founded TVAS (Ireland). She has managed large-scale infrastructure projects to publication such as the N18 Ennis Bypass and has managed, implemented and reported on testing projects in both rural and urban settings, and dryland and wetland environments. She has excavated and reported on Neolithic to Iron Age, along with medieval, metal-working sites, water mills and lime kilns. She was co-editor of the journal of the Shannon Archaeological Society in 2009-11. She has worked in outreach with training digs, open days. and lectured to local societies and national events (eg NRA Seminars). She is involved in the wider archaeological community, such as the INSTAR Programme, and served on various committees
