Leaving aside her distinguished legal career, Sara is a serious historian. She is the author of: 'Eleanor of Aquitaine' (Amberley Publishing, 2019) reviewed in RSJ 8/1, p.183; 'Eleanor of Castile' (Amberley Publishing, 2014) reviewed in Journal of Medieval History vol.131, issue 548, February 2016; an article 'Two reputed representations of Eleanor of Aquitaine from her lifetime - a re-evaluation' (Academia.edu). Sara writes for History Today and History Extra. Sara has also appeared on Channel 4 and Channel 5 programmes about the medieval period.
