Grounds for election

Gail Boyle is the archaeology specialist lead for Bristol Museums. She played a lead role in the development of Bristol’s newest museum (M Shed) and multiple aspects of its delivery programme, including novel and thought provoking aspects of Bristol’s archaeology including the Tudor Welsh Back coin Hoard. She is a visiting Fellow at the University of Bristol for over twenty years delivering content relating to artefacts, landscape and their public interpretation. Currently GB is Chair of Society for Museum Archaeology and the South Gloucestershire Heritage Forum, she participated in the delivery of the South West Archaeological Research Framework. More recently GB was the curatorial lead on Roman Empire: Power & People in partnership with the British Museum. She has published on such issues as The Rioter’s arm bone – the display of human remains at M Shed and via ASPROM on the Orpheus Mosaic from Newton St. Loe. GB is currently a trustee of the Dr Jenner House and garden.
