Grounds for election

Dr Slawisch is a leading authority in Greek archaeology from the 8th to the 4th c. BC whose research focuses on cross-disciplinary and synthetic analysis of archaeological material with textual sources. She has also completed important work on Hellenistic and Roman funerary monuments. She has published widely in academic journals and edited volumes (more than 25 peer-reviewed papers). Her own books include 'Die Grabsteine der römischen Provinz Thracia' (2007) and 'Handels- und Finanzgebaren in der Ägäis im 5. Jh. V. Chr.' (2013). She has also directed fieldwork projects in Turkey.
