Grounds for election

Christopher’s research focuses on conserving historic buildings, particularly in southeast England, and bridges the gap between academic scholarship and real-world application. His part-time PhD research has already been recognised both within academia and by critical organisations such as SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He has acted as Projects Director for the Kingmere Group, where he has undertaken many conservation and refurbishment-based projects for important historic buildings and monuments across southeast England. His research has contributed to scholarly understanding and influenced conservation practices and policies, including those of Historic England.
