Grounds for election

Dr Toby Burrows has had a long and distinguished career bridging his strengths as a librarian and book historian with his digital expertise. His work has focused on the history of book collecting and digitally 'mapping' the historic collections of individuals and organisations. Dr Burrows has led many high-profile research projects using his innovative approach to the study of book history. These include: Mobilising Dutch East India Company collections for new global stories (2022-2026) Australian Research Council Linkage Project; Mapping Manuscript Migrations (2017-2020) (lead Principal Investigator) Trans-Atlantic Platform, Digging into Data Challenge. Dr Burrows many publications include his most recent: “Women Owners and Collectors in de Ricci's Census of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts in the United States and Canada,” in: The Pre-Modern Manuscript Trade and its Consequences, ca. 1890–1945, eds Cleaver et al.(York: ARC Humanities Press, 2024).
