Grounds for election

Rosie studied Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Cambridge and completing a PhD on Christianisation of the Norse North Atlantic in 2014. Since 2016, she has been head of archaeological publishing at Brepols Publisher. She has built from scatch an archaeology and medieval history list including setting up 47 peer-reviewed series, establishing Brepols as a leading publisher in the field. With a strong subject background in Viking and Norse Studies she attracts many leading authors and is very well-respected across the academic publishing sector. She is Honorary Assistant Professor in Viking studies at the University of Nottingham Rosie continues to undertake research and has published widely, with major contributions to edited volumes and journals including most recently: ‘Royal Influence and Icelandic Independence. Conversion and Cultural Memory in Medieval Iceland’ (2023). The North Atlantic World, 267-295; ‘Networks in the Medieval North’ (eds Allport, Bonté, and Orning 2023).
