Alden Gregory is currently Curator for Historic Royal Palaces at the Tower of London and the Banqueting House, Whitehall. He was formerly Curator of Interiors and Collections for the National Trust, south-west region 2011-13. He completed his doctoral thesis on the archiepiscopal phase of the building of Knole, Kent at the University of Sussex in 2010. He held an AHRC Early Career Fellowship on 'Portable Palaces: Royal Tents and Timber Lodgings' from 2017 to 2019. He was Curator of the 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Blood' installation of almost 900,000 ceramic poppies in the moat of the Tower in 2014. He was Lead Curator for the exhibition 'Gold and Glory: Henry VIII and the French King' at Hampton Court in 2021. He has published articles in The Antiquaries Journal (2020), The Sculpture Journal (2017), Country Life and in the book 'The Intellectual Life of the English Country House', Manchester University Press (2015).
