Grounds for election

Dr Heimo Dolenz is the Head of the Archaeology Department at the State Museum of Carinthia in Austria, as well as the Director of the Archaeological Park Magdalensberg. With over 20 years of experience, he has also served as a Senior Lecturer in Classical Studies and Roman Provincial Archaeology at the universities of Klagenfurt and Graz. Dr Dolenz is a Corresponding Member of the German Archaeological Institute and a member of the Archaeological Council of the Republic of Austria at the Austrian Academy of Sciences. He has been elected twice as a By-Fellow at Churchill College, Cambridge. A recognized authority in Roman and early Christian archaeology, Dr Dolenz has made significant contributions to the study of Roman urbanism, architecture, religion, and epigraphy, particularly in the southern Alpine region, as well as in Carthage. He is also a distinguished expert in the conservation and presentation of cultural heritage sites.
