Grounds for election

Olaf has a first-class degree in archaeology from the University of Leicester (1996), an MA in landscape archaeology from the University of Sheffield (2000), and a PhD from the University of Central Lancashire (2011). He has a particular interest in the prehistoric landscapes of south-west England. He has worked in commercial, community and academic archaeology since the mid-1990s. He is currently a senior investigator in the Archaeological Investigation Team at Historic England. Here he manages and delivers multi-disciplinary landscape archaeology and public engagement projects, and is responsible for leading the team’s development of analytical earthwork survey techniques. Olaf is also a part-time Research Associate at Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education where he teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and supervises DPhil candidates. He is the author and co-author of numerous journal articles, monograph chapters and Historic England research reports.
