Grounds for election

Christine curates the excavated material from the last 50+ years of work in the City of York by York Archaeological Trust (now York Archaeology). She co-ordinates the use of the collections for public outreach, publication and research (both by YA and with a wide range of external collaborators), and has taken a leading role in making these collections available on-line. She works closely with academic partners by contributing to research projects (co-authoring papers in journals including Nature Communications and Current Biology) and is currently a co-PhD supervisor at York University. She has also played significant roles in the museum and heritage profession (eg. as secretary for the working party for the Thesaurus of Archaeological Terms 1998-2000).
