Kristian Kaminski has 4500 listed buildings & 61 conservation areas in his care. He wrote Islington’s conservation policies; as expert witness he defended the setting of Bunhill Fields Burial Ground, the first PI heritage decision under the new National Planning Policy Framework. Current projects include The Charterhouse, Canonbury House & New River Head. Mr Kaminski read History & Theory of Architecture at Leeds University & won scholarships to the Attingham Trust’s Royal Collection Studies programme, the Victorian Society of America’s Summer School & Historic New England’s Programme in New England Studies. Mr Kaminski has worked for English Heritage (research topics included Apsley House & Hardwick Old Hall) & for the Victorian Society as Conservation Advisor. He has published in The Victorian, Mausolus, SPAB Magazine, Context & Historic New England. He provides advice to the Highgate Society & the Athlone House Working Group; he is on the Committee of SAVE Britain’s Heritage.
