Susan Sloman, art historian, researches eighteenth and early nineteenth century British drawing and printmaking, portraits and artists’ exhibition rooms, Also Thomas Gainsborough, Thomas Kerrich, John Constable and Alexander Cozens. Keeper of Collections at the Victoria Art Gallery, Bath, 1988-98. Researcher/cataloguer at Agnew's and at Andrew Wylde’s WS Fine Art 1999-2011; since 2012 she has worked for a private collector. She has held visiting fellowships at the Huntington Library and the Yale Center for British Art. Her Gainsborough in Bath for Yale 2002 shortlisted for the Berger Prize. Gainsborough in London for Yale and English Drawings for Paul Holberton in preparation. Ten entries in ODNB. She helped catalogue the 2009 Tate Britain exhibition: ‘Van Dyck and Britain’, and wrote one for ‘Pickpocketing the Rich: Portrait Painting in Bath 1720-1800’ Holburne Museum, Bath and for ‘Gainsborough's Landscapes: Theme and Variations,’ also at the Holburne 2011-12.
