Grounds for election

Penny Copeland is a freelance consultant in historic buildings analysis. She qualified as a Charter Surveyor in 1989 and from 1990-1994 managed the buildings of Burlington House for the PSA. In 1996 she took an archaeology degree at the University of Southampton and since then has developed her interests in a broad range of antiquities and periods. She has specialised in archaeological illustration, using her technical drawing and computing skills to record and publish thousands of objects, buildings and ideas. In particular, she has worked for the University of Southampton on the following major archaeological projects as both illustrator and excavator: the Als Project, Mons Porphyrites, Quseir al-Qadim, Portus, Portus Limen and the Parnassus Project. She teaches undergraduate students in aspects of building archaeology and organises for them a survey of Bodiam Castle.
