A widely recognised specialist in medieval artefacts who has published extensively on material from York sites including Fishergate and Coppergate, in the York Archaeological Trust fascicule series. Has also published material from Flixborough (Lincs) and other sites. Popular books include Medieval Craft and Mystery (2012) on the York Mystery Plays.
