Employed as Senior Archaeologist at the Irish National Roads Authority; responsible for the management of archaeology on motorway schemes in Munster and south Leinster. Author of papers on excavations carried out under his direction, Bronze Age funerary monuments and archaeological management in the Republic of Ireland. Contributor to and co-editor of three books Cois tSiúire - Nine Thousand Years of Human Activity in the Lower Suir Valley (2013); Training and Practice for Modern Day Archaeologists (2013); Woodstown–A Viking Settlement in County Waterford (2014). Co-editor of volumes 6 and 7 of Archaeology and the National Roads Authority Monograph Series. Vice-Chairman of the Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland 2009 – 2013
