Grounds for election

Adrian is part of the ‘Hoarding in Iron Age and Roman Britain’ project at the University of Leicester. He has worked in commercial archaeology for 20 years, most recently as Senior Project Officer for AC Archaeology and has also worked in France, Germany, Iceland, Lebanon and Turkey. Graduating from Sheffield University in 1990, he completed an MA in Landscape Archaeology at Sheffield and was awarded a PhD at the University of Wales, Newport, where he was a lecturer in archaeology. His research interests include landscape archaeology, later prehistoric and Roman Britain, depositional and ritual practices and human-animal relations. He has published many articles and has edited three collections of papers – Stories from the Landscape (2004); Recent Approaches to the Archaeology of Land Allotment (2008); and Memory, Myth and Long-term Landscape Inhabitation (2013). Adrian has served on the council of RESCUE and was Conservation Co-ordinator for the Prehistoric Society.
