Grounds for election

Veronica is a heritage professional with over 20 years' experience. She currently works for English Heritage, and previously spent 10 years in local authority heritage roles including setting up an archaeology service for West Berkshire. National roles have included Council Member and Director of the IFA. She is currently a member of the National Trust’s Archaeology Advisory Panel member providing advice to the Trust in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Veronica has a particular knowledge and expertise in military archaeology, especially battlefields and C20 military remains, and has researched and published on this subject. She set up and co-managed a multi-disciplinary and ground-breaking project investigating the discovery of a mass grave from the battle. This was successfully published as 'Blood Red Roses: the archaeology of a mass grave from the Battle of Towton 1461AD' edited by Fiorato, V, Boylston, A and Knusel, C (2000, Oxbow Books).
