has been worked in the photographic department of the Institute of Archaeology since 1978. Has taught courses in Archaeological Photography and Archaeological Illustration since 1986 has instructed thousands of students in best practice .Research interests range from use of reflectance transformation imaging using near visible light wavelengths to the series of books with Georgina Herrmann on The Ivories from Nimrud Has dug in Crete and produced site surveys theexcavations at Monistaraki. He was assistant director excavations at Astipades near Spili on Crete, and worked with Hafid Walda on the Roman town of Lepcis Magna. .
