Professor Pearce Paul Creasman is an archaeologist focusing on ancient Egypt. Having led excavations and research in Egypt for more than a decade, he is best known for his work elucidating ancient maritime life and regarding human/environmental interactions. The author of thirty-five peer-reviewed manuscripts and two edited volumes in the past five years, Dr. Creasman serves as Editor of the peer-reviewed Journal of Ancient Egyptian Interconnections, Editor of the Wilkinson Egyptology Series (peer-reviewed book serial), Director of the University of Arizona Egyptian Expedition and Curator of the same university’s Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research. He was recently elected as a research member to the American Research Center in Egypt’s board of governors. Dr. Creasman’s research has been supported by a series of prestigious grants (including from the National Geographic Society and U.S. National Science Foundation) and has been honored with more than two dozen awards and fellowships.
