Grounds for election

Career: From 1992 he was Senior Publications Officer of Exeter Museums Archaeological Field Unit; in 1996 he joined English Heritage as a Designation Officer responsible for scheduling monuments in Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. From 2004 - 2010 he was Plymouth City Archaeologist, and thereafter Publications Officer of Exeter Archaeology. Since 2011 he is a Heritage Consultant for archaeological projects, including post-excavation and publication, assessments and planning related projects. He is a specialist in Roman military archaeology, and has been involved with various excavations, including recently of a Roman military site at Exeter. He is to give a paper at the Limes Congress in Germany in September 2015. Publications in 'British Archaeological Report International Series 630, 1996; 'Roman Frontier Studies 1995', Devon Archaeological Society Proceedings and elsewhere.
