Grounds for election

Robert Parker trained in retirement as a Papyrologist, and now writes editions and commentaries for publication in the Oxyrhynchus Papyri series. Previously, he was Parliamentary Counsel for 30 years and drafted much legislation relating to material culture, including the Chevening Estate Act 1987, the Museums and Galleries Act 1992, provisions in the Greater London Authority Act 1999 and the Culture and Recreation Bill 2000, and miscellaneous provisions relating to the Museum of London. He also served for several years as a member of the Constitutional team. He is the joint editor of a book of Cases and Statutes on English Law.
