Grounds for election

Jennifer Scott is Director of the Holburne Museum, Bath. Previously she worked at the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, the National Gallery, London, and was, from 2004, Assistant Curator, and from 2007-2014, Curator of Paintings at the Royal Collection, with a special interest in Royal portraiture, and British, Spanish, Flemish and Dutch painting from 1450-1900. She curated major exhibitions at the Queen's Galleries in London and Edinburgh, in collaboration with national and international museums. She holds MA and BA (Hons) degrees in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, and is a Fellow Commoner at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge. She is a Trustee of The Living Paintings Trust, a Governor of the Royal High School, Bath, and a member of the Executive of the Cultural Forum of Bath. She has taught and lectured widely, and at academic institutions in Europe and North America. Her publications include many exhibition catalogues, and articles and reviews in Art History journals.
