Grounds for election

Lucy Whitaker is Senior Curator of Paintings for Royal Collection Trust having previously looked after the art collections of Christ Church, Oxford. She wrote her M.Phil at the Courtauld on 15th century Italian drawings and prints, and since then has also specialised in Italian, British, Netherlandish, French and German art, and Royal Collection frames. She has contributed to many Royal Collection exhibition catalogues and was one of the lead curators of the exhibition 'The Art of Italy: Renaissance and Baroque' in The Queen's Galleries, London and Edinburgh, 2007-8, and 'The Northern Renaissance: Dürer to Holbein' in The Queen's Galleries, London and Edinburgh, 2011-12 . She has researched and written about the history of The Royal Collection and the records and inventories of the Collection. She has published on the collecting of Charles I and is about to publish on the collecting of Charles II. She has given many lectures and specialist papers in Britain and abroad.
