Grounds for election

Dr Hind worked for Oxford Archaeology 1999-2014. She has made a major contribution to many urban characterisation schemes, seeking to manage project impact on the environment. These include: the Oxford Extension Town Survey; the Newbury Historic Character Survey and a sustainability appraisal for HS2. She has assisted the (Oxford) Diocesan Archaeological Adviser in preparing advisory briefs for parishes and provided vital input to Conservation Plans for the castles at Kenilworth, Dover, Leeds and Rathcrogham (Ireland). Dr Hind teaches on the Undergraduate Diploma course in British Archaeology for Oxford University's Department for Continuing Education. Her publications include: co-editing and writing for the Solent-Thames Research Framework; co-authoring the forthcoming volume 4 of the Thames through Time series and numerous articles and reports concerning her many projects. She is a Committee member and current Secretary of the Oxfordshire Archaeological and Historical Society.
