Simon Morris is a student of urban history; on the committee of the London Topographical Society since 1983. Written extensively on London history, including postal districts and street signs, which has involved cycling round every street in London. Has sponsored the James Morris essay prize of the Society of Architectural Historians for the best essay in British Colonial and post-Colonial architecture. Lectures frequently to London local history societies and has published several books on London with more planned.
