Grounds for election

Robert Kenyon has studied and taught art for most of his professional life but is also recognised as the foremost expert on the coins of Claudius, completing a PhD on the subject in 1992. He has published a number of papers on Claudian – and other 1st century – coins since the 1980s. Since retirement he has brought his considerable expertise to work with MOLA on the publication of the large corpus of excavated Claudian material. Robert Kenyon has been making a significant contribution for many years to the history and numismatics of Roman Britain.
