Grounds for election

Jane Richardson has worked as a professional archaeologist for the past 18 years, and is currently manager of a commercial archaeology unit in West Yorkshire. She has built a distinguished career as a faunal specialist, analysing and interpreting large assemblages of animal bones from key sites in Yorkshire: Anglian West Heslerton, medieval Pontefract Castle and Anglo-Saxon and medieval Wharram Percy, where her important synthesis of data from over 130,000 animal bone fragments appeared in the final published volume, Wharram XIII. She has over 20 published contributions to her name, in monograph series and in both national and county journals. She has edited several monographs including (jointly) one on a major Iron Age and Roman site at Wattle Syke, Wetherby. Her recent work has been published in Britannia, the Archaeological Journal and the Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society.
